Oct 4, 2023 · Most scholarship applications for incoming undergraduate students open September 12 and have deadlines in the Spring, so submit your application (s) in the Fall. Students are considered for awards on criteria that may include, but is not limited to, academic achievement, potential contributions, service and leadership, and financial need. UMass Admissions Scholarships. UMass offers merit aid to select undergraduate students. Merit aid is awarded on the basis of academic achievement rather than financial need.
